Typically Rose Quartz is a pink translucent, sometimes transparent, crystal formed like other types of quartz. Most Rose Quartz is formed during a process of magma crystallisation. From magmatic pegmatites, Rose Quartz is created in the centre of a Pegmatite, in fact the last mineral to form is quartz. Rose quartz has tiny crystals of rutile giving it a pink colour.
Formed in various places worldwide including South Africa, USA, Brazil, Japan, India and Madagascar, Rose Quartz is fairly easy to obtain.
